Materials Guide

ETD-150 Steel

ETD-150 is a high-strength alloy steel designed for excellent toughness, fatigue resistance, and dimensional stability.

We commonly use ETD-150 for muzzle devices and suppressor-related components because it offers:

  • high strength
  • good wear resistance
  • excellent machinability
  • reliable performance under repeated thermal and impact loading

Its combination of toughness and stability makes it well suited for hard-use threaded components and suppressor mounts.

17-4PH H900 Stainless Steel

17-4PH H900 is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel offering high strength along with excellent corrosion resistance.

We use it for components requiring:

  • high wear resistance
  • dimensional stability
  • corrosion resistance
  • long service life

Common applications include firing pins, small internal components, and wear-prone parts.

4140 Steel

4140 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel widely used in firearms and industrial applications due to its balance of strength, toughness, and machinability.

It performs well in high-stress components and heat-treated applications.

7075 Aluminum

7075 aluminum is a high-strength aerospace-grade aluminum alloy commonly used in hard-use firearms and optics mounting systems.

Compared to 6061 aluminum, 7075 offers significantly greater strength and rigidity, making it better suited for demanding structural applications.

We use 7075 where minimizing flex and maximizing durability are priorities.
