Technical compatibility references and fitment information for Sovereign Development products and supported mounting systems.

This page is intended to clarify common compatibility questions related to suppressors, optics, thread patterns, mounting standards, and firearm platforms.

Because many supported systems lack universal dimensional standards between manufacturers, users should always verify compatibility before installation.

OPS/AE Suppressor Compatibility

Our OPS/AE-pattern muzzle devices are designed for compatibility with suppressors utilizing the OPS Inc / Allen Engineering mounting interface.

Compatible suppressors include:

  • Allen Engineering AEM series
  • Otter Creek Labs OCM5
  • Otter Creek Labs OCM6
  • Other suppressors utilizing compatible OPS/AE geometry

Some muzzle devices utilize “short” pattern geometry which allows timing with shims or crush washers while maintaining proper suppressor fitment.

Tri-Lug Compatibility

Our tri-lug products are designed around the standard 9mm HK-style tri-lug interface unless otherwise noted.

Because dimensional tolerances can vary between manufacturers, compatibility with all suppressor adapters cannot be universally guaranteed.

Standard 9mm Tri-Lug Systems

Compatible with most standard 9mm tri-lug suppressor adapters and mounts.

Advantages of the 9mm tri-lug ecosystem include:

  • broader suppressor adapter availability
  • better cross-brand compatibility
  • more consistent dimensional standards
  • wider muzzle device selection

Large-Bore Tri-Lug Systems

Products such as the Bastard Tri-Lug are designed to allow use of standard 9mm tri-lug adapters with larger caliber platforms.

These systems are intended for:

  • .45 ACP
  • 10mm
  • other large-bore PCC and SMG platforms

Always ensure suppressor bore diameter is appropriate for the caliber being fired.

.32 ACP Tri-Lug

The .32 ACP tri-lug variant is designed to remain compatible with standard 9mm tri-lug suppressor systems while supporting smaller caliber platforms such as the VZ-61.

Optic Footprints

Supported optic mounting footprints vary by product.

Current supported footprints may include:

  • Aimpoint T2
  • Trijicon RMR
  • Aimpoint ACRO
  • MOS
  • AEMS
  • Picatinny / 1913 interfaces

Always verify footprint compatibility before installation.

Barrel Thread Patterns

Supported thread patterns vary by product and caliber.

Common thread patterns include:

  • 1/2x28
  • 5/8x24
  • M14x1 LH

Users are responsible for verifying:

  • barrel thread pitch
  • thread concentricity
  • caliber compatibility
  • suppressor alignment

before installation or firing.

Mounting Geometry & Fitment

Certain products are designed around specific mounting geometries or platform constraints.

Examples include:

  • face-mount tri-lug adapters for thin-shoulder barrels
  • low-clearance optics mounts
  • extended tri-lug variants for folding stock clearance
  • OPS/AE short-pattern suppressor mounts

Minor fitting may occasionally be required depending on firearm manufacturer tolerances, wear, or prior modifications.

General Compatibility Notes

Firearm accessory standards are not always perfectly standardized across manufacturers.

Whenever installing suppressor mounts, optics mounts, or threaded components:

  • verify fitment before use
  • inspect bore alignment
  • confirm proper thread engagement
  • ensure mounting hardware is torqued correctly
