AK Triangle Folder Front Latch Pin, Sling Stud
Replacement front latch pin for AK rifles with 4.5mm or 5.5mm folding stocks, featuring an integrated sling stud.
Designed to allow shooters to properly tension a sling for positional shooting without inducing point-of-impact shift from barrel or gas block flex.
By relocating the sling attachment point to the folding stock latch area, sling tension is transferred into the receiver rather than the barrel assembly.
Why This Exists
This part was developed after shooting a Project Appleseed KD involving positional shooting out to 400 meters. When using a tightly tensioned sling - attached to the factory front sling loop near the gas block - the sling pressure induced enough barrel flex to shift point of impact by as much as 5 MOA, making hits beyond 100 meters extremely difficult when properly slung up in prone.
By relocating the sling attachment point to the folding stock latch area, sling tension is transferred into the receiver rather than the barrel assembly, helping reduce sling-induced POI shift during supported and positional shooting.
This is not a “high-speed” tactical accessory. It is a practical solution for shooters who actually use a sling for marksmanship and field shooting with an AK platform.
Features

Fitment Notes
Some fitting may be required depending on receiver tolerances and front latch pin hole dimensions.
These are intentionally machined for a tight fit to minimize wobble and reduce long-term wear or elongation of the receiver pin hole.
